Rented Instruments Must Be Returned This Week
All rented instruments used for marching band season should have been cleaned and returned by now. This includes both Westlake and Battalion instruments. Any instruments that haven’t been returned by the end of the week will be charged to the student’s account at full replacement value.
Rose Parade Photos and DVDs
The Rose Parade photos and DVDs have arrived. We will be dividing them by school at the booster meeting on Wednesday night. We will deliver them to the band directors at each school to be handed out to students or you are welcome to pick them up at the booster meeting.
Mini Guard Camp This Week
Our mini guard camp is being held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM today (Monday, February 5) and Wednesday, February 7, followed by a halftime performance at the Westlake girls basketball camp on Thursday, February 8. This camp acts as a fundraiser for our guard program.
School Solo and Ensemble Night
Solo and ensemble night is coming up on February 21. If you have not chosen a piece and secured an accompanist, please do so right away. All Westlake students should plan to participate.

Winter Guard Competition Help
Our award-winning winter guard program will be hosting a competition at Westlake High School on March 17. This event requires a lot of volunteers to keep it running smoothly.
Setup begins on Friday, March 16, and time slots are available for a variety of needs all day on Saturday, March 17. Please take a look at the signup and see where you can help!

Booster Meeting This Wednesday
Our next booster meeting will be held this Wednesday, February 7, at 7:30 PM in the band room. We will be planning our spring fundraisers and working on transition planning to move into next season. All parents are invited to attend booster meetings. If you have wanted to get involved but aren’t sure how, this is the place to find out what you can do to help.
